New Snow White Trilogy web site and a rave Australian review for Salla Simukka

SimukkanewsletterJuly242014Author Salla Simukka, whose YA thriller series The Snow White Trilogy has been sold in 43 territories to date, has launched a new web site for her international fans. The official Snow White Trilogy page at snowwhitetrilogy.wordpress.com includes photos, information on Simukka’s books, book trailers, a Q&A interview with Simukka, and more. Readers can also follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

Beyond Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Romania, where part I in the trilogy, As Red as Blood, has already made its debut, the book was most recently published in Croatia by Znanje.

In advance of its publication in the U.K and Australia by Hot Key Books and in the U.S by Amazon Publishing/Skyscape in August, As Red As Blood has earned glowing reviews from the likes of Kirkus Reviews and Publishers Weekly. “Fans of Nesbø and Larsson won’t be disappointed,” praised Publishers Weekly, while Kirkus Reviews said the book has “a bracing energy that stands up to the most muscular of Scandinavian thrillers and a heroine more than equal to her competition.”

As Red as Blood also recently received its first Australian rave review from Notebook Sisters, a sharp and breezy literature blog:

“[Lumikki] is the kind of character I could be friends with. I’m actually quite sure she’s my dopplehanger after reading this quote: ‘For her a day of pampering meant comic books, black liquorice, serious exercise, veggie curry and, above all, solitude.’ Yes! Yes you smart and intelligent girl! She also takes her coffee black and bitter, which I don’t but I can, if you know what I mean. Although let’s swap the veggie curry for some pasta, okay? Then we shall be book-twins for ever and ever.”
