Two-book Swedish deal for Tatiana Elf!

We are very happy to share that the Swedish rights for Tatiana Elf’s IMPOSTOR and MASTER have been acquired by Storytel! This follows last week’s deal to Iceland where the rights were acquired by Drápa Forlag. The deal was closed by Noora Al-Ani at Ahlbäck Agency. We also have a Greek two-book offer under negotiation.

REQUEST MATERIALS FOR THE REBEKKA NUMMI SERIES

Rebekka Nummi is a young, intelligent and irresistibly charismatic sociopath who can charm almost anyone. Determined to keep her darker impulses under control, she attends therapy, until meeting Alex, the first person to awaken feelings she never thought possible. But when Alex’s secrets come to light, Rebekka is forced to cross a line from which there is no return. Packed with psychological tension, shocking twists, and an unforgettable antiheroine, Impostor keeps readers hooked until the final page.

“Impostor is a kind of superhero origin story, in which revenge gives the protagonist wings that carry them from drifting through life to purposeful action, made possible by the key traits of sociopathy: impulsiveness, deceitfulness, and indifference. [–] Impostor is the best debut crime novel of the year so far. Of course, nothing less is expected from Elf, who won the Golden Venla award in 2018 for the screenplay of the Keisari Aarnio series. The author’s long career in television is evident in the novel’s tight pacing and smooth plot development.”

This twisted psychological thriller follows Rebekka, a young and attractive sociopath, who can charm anyone… and destroy them just as easily

Rebekka Nummi is a confident, curious, and completely fearless young woman. She has an exceptional superpower: she is a high-functioning sociopath. Rebekka hasn’t killed anyone, but she can break into her friend’s house or steal a car without feeling any guilt or shame. To tame her impulses, Rebekka goes to therapy. It has worked surprisingly well and she hasn’t done anything terribly bad. Yet.

Then Rebekka meets Alex. The man evokes warm feelings in Rebekka, feelings that she hadn’t even considered to be possible to feel. Alex is intelligent, funny, and, best of all, she doesn’t fear Rebekka.

But can a manipulative and unpredictable sociopath create a genuine connection to another person? Can one control one’s violent impulses? And what happens when Alex is revealed to have a secret that changes everything and forces Rebekka to cross a threshold from which there is no going back.

Rebekka is both charming and terrifying. The twists of the book leave no breathing space before the final page and make one thirst for more.
