“Inherited Land is a dazzlingly ambitious feat of storytelling rooted in the beauty and harshness of the natural world and spanning centuries. It is both a timely and urgent novel and a richly enjoyable read. I am thrilled to be adding it to the Pushkin Press list.”  Daniel Seton, Commissioning Editor, Pushkin Press, United Kingdom.

INHERITED LAND is an epic family saga, spanning centuries and generations, in the spirit of titles such as One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. Through the lives of people inhabiting the Nevabacka farmstead, the novel explores how successive generations have seen their connection with nature and also reveals the history of Finland as a nation.

INHERITED LAND continues its wonderful success story – the rights for the title have now been sold to 15 territories and the title was recently awarded the prestigious Swedish YLE Literature Prize for the best Finland-Swedish novel of the year!

If you want to join the rapidly growing international publishing family for INHERITED LAND, we recommend you read quickly and get in touch with us! Rights are still available in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Japan, China, Iceland, Hungary, Slovakia, Estonia, Lithuania, Israel, Greece, Turkey…
