SimukkanewsletterOct172014Salla Simukka continues to conquer new territories with the Snow White Trilogy. We are thrilled to announce that Bata Press in Macedonia, a publisher of high-quality literary works by both international and Macedonian authors, has acquired rights to the trilogy, bringing the total of sold territories to 47!

Last week Simukka visited Germany as the guest of Arena Verlag, meeting publishers and readers and signing books in several events in Berlin and at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

More than 20 international publishers have now launched the trilogy with Book 1, As Red as Blood (Tammi 2013); some recent releases include German by Arena, Danish by Gyldendal, Italian by Mondadori and Simplified Chinese by Modern Press. Upcoming releases include Spanish and Catalan by La Galera later this month, and the French YA edition by Hachette/Black Moon and adult fiction edition by Hachette/Livre de Poche in early November.

The Snow White Trilogy comprises As Red as Blood, As White as Snow and As Black as Ebony. Starring a headstrong, haunted and sharp 17-year-old girl named Lumikki Andersson, the series has received praise from numerous international publications including Financial Times and The Guardian, and starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews and Booklist.
