Max Seeck no 4 on Bestseller list

The Call of Hades, the much-anticipated third instalment in Max Seeck’s Daniel Kuisma series, was published in late August and is climbing the bestseller lists. His books have sold altogether 35,000 copies across all formats in Finland alone.

Max Seeck has been speaking at several events to celebrate the publication of his new novel, like the Helsinki Crime Festival (Dekkarifestivaalit) which was held in Helsinki on 22nd of September, where he talked about his books alongside detective novelists like Jens Henrik Jensen (DK), Arne Dahl (SE), Jonas Bonnier (SE), Leena Lehtolainen and Marko Hautala.

The first book in the series was recently published in Estonia and Iceland. In both countries, the reviews have been great.

Four executed men are found in a Zagreb apartment. The place is owned by the U.K. government, but no one seems to know anything about the case. When Daniel Kuisma receives an unexpected guest from Southern Europe he hears something that makes him board the next plane to Zagreb: the lives of thousands of people might be at risk. Meanwhile Annika Lehto is recovering from an assault, but offers him all the help she can from her sickbed.

Max Seeck, the most anticipated newcomer of the literary season, has received great reviews for his debut thriller The Angels of Hammurabi.
