Two-book deal for Mari Renko in Italy!

We are thrilled to announce a new deal for Mari Renko’s The Yellow House Chronicles as HarperCollins Italy has acquired two first books in the series, Pearl Ring, Enclosed and Whispers in Lace. The deal was closed by Noora Al-Ani at Ahlbäck Agency.

The Yellow House Chronicles by Mari Renko is a romantic family saga set in the small town of Nurmes in eastern Finland. Each novel focuses on one member of the Ikonen sibling family, blending contemporary romance with historical mysteries that reach across generations. Set against the atmospheric landscapes of Karelia and the shores of Lake Pielinen, the books combine heartfelt relationships, family secrets, and dual timelines, as events from the past continue to shape the lives of the Ikonen siblings in the present.

“A truly immersive book where nothing permanently bad happens. [–] I love the narration and the way it captures the atmosphere, and how the story runs in two different time lines—yet they are so deeply connected. [–] I especially recommend this book if you want to pause for a while and reflect on everyday things that are, for that very reason, so very important.”
