New deals for two very different parenting books:
|Estonian publisher Postimees has acquired the rights for the witty activity book The Little Book of Bad Moods for Mothers, while a more serious parenting book about how to talk to children about love and sexuality – Love, Joy, Courage has sold to Nash Format publishers in Ukraine!
This is what Postimees said about The Little Book of Bad Moods for Mothers:
”It is smart, witty and makes you laugh until you cry, especially in situations, when you actually might want to cry. Pregnancy and motherhood demand a lot of patience, understanding and balance. This book will help to relieve the stress of motherhood and turn it into funny memories. Laughter is the best cure to every scratch and bump on the road we call The Life.”
The book will be published in Estonia just in time for Mother’s Day 2020!
The book is the sequel to The Little Book of Bad Moods that has already sold to 31 territories. Previously this outrageous activity book for parents has been acquired by Bloomsbury in the UK, Euromedia in the Czech Republic and Droemer Knaur in Germany.
About the book:
This taboo-breaking adult activity book encourages all mothers to vent safely, continuing the cranky path of the international bestseller “The Little Book of Bad Moods”.
The book is written by Lotta Sonninen, with fun illustrations by Piia Aho.
In Ukraine, Nash Format Publishers said this about Love, Joy, Courage:
“We are excited about the deal. The book should be read by every parent who wishes his child to have a clear understanding of friendship, love, and sexuality. It teaches to respect boundaries and helps to find common ground between parents and their children.”
Love, Joy and Courage is previously sold in Russia to Bombora and in Hungary to Scolar.
