We are thrilled to announce that Pocket Jeunesse, France’s second most important children’s publisher with a strong commercial middle-grade and early readers’ list, has acquired rights to books 1-6 in Sinikka Nopola and Tiina Nopola’s wildly successful Ricky Rapper series (Tammi). Rights to Ricky Rapper have now been sold in 18 languages!
Among Pocket Jeunesse’s other titles are James Dashner‘s Maze Runner series and Suzanne Collins’s Hunger Games trilogy.

Ricky Rapper will be part of the Pocket Jeunesse early readers and middle-grade list, and will be launched with new illustrations designed by a French illustrator in 2016!
Ricky Rapper is Finland’s most popular contemporary children’s character. The 14-part book series, aimed for an 8+ readership, star a red-headed boy who loves playing drums and rapping, and his best friend Nelly “Noodlehead.” If you like Wimpy Kid, you will love Ricky Rapper. The fifth Ricky film will premiere in cinemas in February 2015.
