Ricky Rapper has had the most exciting year 2013 and we are so delighted to share the highlights with you.
In August, Ricky Rapper and the Double (Risto Räppääjä ja kaksoisolento), the 13th title in the series, written by Sinikka Nopola and Tiina Nopola, and illustrated by Christel Rönns, was published in Finland by Tammi to great reviews and sales: No. 1 bestseller with over 24.000 copies sold! In Spain, Ricky Rapper and Needy Nelly (Risto Räppääjä ja nukkavieru Nelli, Tammi 2012) was successfully published by Santillana. Sinikka and Tiina Nopola were promoting their books in Madrid in November. In Slovenia, Sodobnost launched the series with Time’s Up, Ricky Rapper (Hetki lyö, Risto Räppääjä, Tammi 1997). In the Arab World, Ricky Rapper and Noodlehead (Risto Räppääjä ja nuudelipää, Tammi 2000) has been published by Dar al Saqi. Rights to Ricky Rapper have been sold in 16 languages!
Year 2014 will be a true Ricky Rapper year with the 4th Ricky Rapper movie Ricky Rapper and Slick Leonard hitting theaters in Finland in February!
In Germany, the authors Sinikka Nopola and Tiina Nopola will be guests at the International Children’s and Young Adults Book Weeks in Cologne in June 2014.
