“This is my story, and I am going to tell it myself-”

In this tender and beautifully illustrated picture book, a dark fairy finally gets the chance to speak for itself. Should we be afraid of it? How did it end up under the bed? What was the turning point in its life? And what does a dark fairy fear…or dream of?

Written by Elina Hirvonen and illustrated by Mervi Lindman, this delightful story gives voice to an often-misunderstood Dark Fairy, teaching important lessons about courage, kindness, and overcoming prejudice through the monster’s own words and experiences.
