fc logo 6 lines outline rgbAmidst the busy spring book fair season, we would like to take a moment to remind you that the year’s second application period for translation grants from FILI – Finnish Literature Exchange ends on May 1st. Both publishers and translators are eligible for these grants, which support the translation of Finnish literature into foreign languages and the translation of international literature into Finnish.

The online Grants Wizard, accessible at www.finlit.fi/fili/en/grants, allows prospective applicants to check their eligibility for various grants. The site also lists previous grant recipients. FILI supports hundreds of translation and printing projects annually with roughly 600,000 euros.

FILI’s online grant application is available here.
