Nordic Shamanism Estonian rights sold in pre-empt!

We are happy to announce the first foreign rights deal for Kirsti Runavik and NORDIC SHAMANISM! The Estonian rights have been sold to Tänäpäev in a pre-empt! The deal was closed by Satu Sallantaus at Ahlbäck Agency.

“Kirsti Runavik’s book Nordic Shamanism focuses on shamanism rooted in the Sami tradition, which the author supplements with psychological theories and her own experiences. ln the North, she finds peace and the opportunity for a deeper connection with nature, which is central to the shamanic experience.

The book is specifically an introduction: it is suitable for those new to the subject. and each chapter could certainly be expanded intoa full-fledged book of its own.

Kirsti Runavik, who practices shamanism herself and is well-versed in the use of runes, has illustrated the book with drawings inspired by the patterns on shamanic drums. The illustrations and brief descriptions of journeys and dreams serve as effective ways to bring the text to life. The book as a whole is a well-rounded, effective combination of folklore knowledge and practical experience in keeping these traditions alive today.”

The snowy hills sing their stories and giant holy rocks whisper their secrets: a tradition thousands of years old is now available to modern readers and practitioners.

Nordic Shamanism focuses on the rich mythology from Lapland and the practice of nature religion, adapted to modern, everyday life. As the relationship with nature is renewed, the connection with animals, plants and dreams becomes deeper.

The author, an internationally recognized expert of runes and shamanism, skilfully combines scientific knowledge with modern techniques, showing how to practice and understand Shamanism and Nordic Witchcraft from both a historical and practical perspective.
