We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Gyldendal Astra has acquired the rights for Kaisu Tuokko’s THE KRISTINESTAD MURDERS series books 1-6 and its prequel, total of seven books. The deal was closed by Noora Al-Ani at Ahlbäck Agency.
This is what Mette Bentholm the Commissioning Editor from Gyldendal Astra says about Tuokko’s books: “We are so exited to present and publish the Kristinestad series in Denmark. It’s a gripping small-town mystery series, where everyone knows each other and secrets run deep beneath the idyllic surface. The main characters – the journalist Eevi Manner and the police officer Mats Bergholm – are relatable and well written and you really want to follow them throughout the series, both personally and professionally. This is a sort of crime series that Danish readers love.”
The peace of the idyllic seaside town Kristinestad is broken in the addictive crime series. Nordic Noir with heart – and consequences.
