Great news for our internationally bestselling author, Max Seeck. MILO will be published in Japan by Kodansha! Marking as Max’s first-ever Japanese deal. We are very proud to see Japan added to the long list of countries where his work has been translated. The deal was closed by Elina Ahlbäck and Julia Bogen in collaboration with Tuttle-Mori Agency. Max’s French publisher Méra Editions will publish Echec et Mat on January 15, as the first publisher outside Finland to publish MILO. Bastei Lübbe will publish BLINDSPIEL in German in June 2025. Check their stunning cover here.
TV series is now in pre-production with Solar Films, script is being finalized, and shooting starts in 2025/2026 for a 6-episodes TV series with focus on international sales & distribution.

About MILO:
Milo, a 38-year-old art enthusiast, gallery owner and criminal profiler struggles with sexual frustration that are both the cause and consequence for his marital problems with his wife Ronja. A body of a young woman is found painted in all-white representing a piece of chess. The chief inspector receives an anonymous letter with a short message: Bxc6. This indicates a chess move and along the location where the body was found the investigators feel that more chess moves might be on the way.
Milo struggles to form a clear picture of the killer. He soon understands that in order to help the police force to catch the killer he needs to understand the game of chess better.
