Welcome, Anna and Mimi!
We are delighted to introduce and welcome two new Literary Agents, Anna Kappauf and Mimi Matinpalo to the fast growing Elina Ahlback Literary Agency. Anna Kappauf will start on August 22nd and Mimi Matinpalo on August 1st.
Anna (pictured left) has a MA degree in Modern German Literature and Scandinavian Studies from Humboldt University of Berlin as well as a MA degree in publishing from UCL. Originally from Germany, she spent 10 years in London at Macmillan Children’s Books (Pan Macmillan) selling international rights into 25 countries and 35 languages and is now based in Sweden. Anna loves children’s books, contemporary fiction, and spoken word poetry, and speaks fluently German, English and Swedish. In her free time, Anna enjoys travelling, swimming and Pilates.
Mimi (pictured right) has studied French Language, Literature and Culture, Communication and World Politics in the University of Helsinki and will soon graduate as Master of Arts. She has gained a large language portfolio and understanding of different cultures and societies specializing in French culture and the world of Francophonie. Her passion for literature has grown through her studies: In 2018-2019 she studied in the University of Sorbonne-Nouvelle Paris 3. Mimi has been working in cross-cultural teams and international environments. During her free time Mimi enjoys French literature, paints abstract art, dances and does yoga.

- Elsa is currently selling rights e.g. to Italy, Spain, Latin America, Brazil, Portugal, and in collaboration with our co-agents to Japan and Korea.
- Sten-Erik is selling rights e.g. to the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Estonia and other Baltic territories, Southeast Europe, Caucasia and in collaboration with our co-agents to China and Taiwan.
Literary Agent Anna Kappauf will focus on selling Finnish authors’ rights to Germany and the Nordic Countries alongside Elina Ahlbäck.
Literary Agent Mimi Matinpalo will focus on selling rights to France and French speaking territories alongside Elina Ahlbäck,
Rights & Contracts Coordinator Linda Powell, who has a LLB degree in Law and Politics, and a Master’s Degree in International and Comparative Law, handles with great professionalism and passion our Agency’s contracts, agreements, royalties and invoicing as well as other administrative tasks supporting the Agency’s Sales Team.
Elina Ahlbäck, CEO and Literary Agent focuses on selling media rights, film and TV rights, and World English rights in collaboration with our co-agent in New York, Abigail Koons at Park & Fine, and in Los Angeles, with Gudrun Giddings.
