Two children’s series continue their success in Denmark: MABEL MERRYWEATHER book 2 rights acquired by ABC Forlag; PRINCESS RASCAL book 3 rights acquired by Gads Forlag

We are really happy to announce two new deals for children’s books in Denmark!

Danish publisher ABC Forlag has now acquired the second title in the ‘Mabel Merryweather’ series; previously publishing ‘Mabel Merryweather and the Miniature Pirates’, and now to be published ‘Mabel Merryweather and the King of Thieves‘ by a Finnish children’s book author who loves Roald Dahl and crazy stories, Noora Kunnas. The popular illustrator Teemu Juhani stands for the detailed and fun-filled pictures.

That is not all  – Danish publisher Gads Forlag has now acquired all three titles in the Princess Rascal series written by Elina Hirvonen and illustrated by Mervi Lindman. The newest book ‘Princess Rascal and the Quarrel Spell’ comes quickly after the first and second books having been published in the beginning of this summer.

The publisher at Gads says:
“We are very proud here at Gads Børnebøger to be publishing the beautiful series about the Princess Rascal by Elina Hirvonen and Mervi Lindman. The series is a tribute to fantasy and has a quirky, humoristic take on the daily life in a family with small kids. The series is able to handle complex themes in a lovely and uplifting way.” – Trine Bech, Head of Fiction, Gads Børnebøger
