We are thrilled to announce that Czech and Dutch-language rights to Siri and Her New Friends and Siri and Messy Gretel, the first and third books in Tiina Nopola and Mervi Lindman’s picture book series, have been sold to Rebo Productions. Meanwhile, Lithuanian rights to Siri and the Horrid Pig and Sinikka Nopola and Tiina Nopola’s Ricky Rapper and Noodlehead have been acquired by Nieko Rimto. Latvian rights to Ricky Rapper and the Horrible Sausage have been sold to Zvaigzne.
The girl-powered Siri series, aimed for a 4+ readership, narrates the adventures of a spirited little girl and her friends. Altogether 12 books have been published to date, and rights to the series have been sold in 16 languages!
Ricky Rapper is Finland’s most popular contemporary children’s character. The 14-part book series, aimed for an 8+ readership, star a red-headed boy who loves playing drums and rapping. If you like Wimpy Kid, you will love Ricky Rapper. The fifth Ricky film will premiere in cinemas in February 2015. Rights have been sold in 16 languages.
