BRIDE OF PRANKENSTEIN sold to Latvia!

We are very excited to announce that Petergailis has acquired the Latvian rights for the hilarious BRIDE OF PRANKENSTEIN by Kaisa Paasto, illustrated by Mari Ahokoivu! This is the sequel to Prankenstein which was published in Latvia earlier this year! The deal was closed by Satu Sallantaus at Ahlbäck Agency.

The series follows a fifth grader, Elmeri, who never thought of a career in pranks, until he accidentally manages a great prank. Now, he will become the amazing Prankenstein. The prank ends up being the hottest topic in the school, earns Elmeri the attention of a girl next door, and inspires his cousin Robin to become Elmeri’s PPT (Prank Personal Trainer). Elmeri embarks on a number of pranks which also help him stand up to a school bully named Leo, but which eventually start to turn against him. In addition to his prankster career, Elmeri also tries to lift the spirits of her sister Ida who has recently lost a foot in an accident.

The second book continues the story: After the previous prank disaster, Elmeri has sworn off pranks for good. No more pranks. At all. Zilch. Until someone starts pulling pranks on the principal, making it look like Elmeri is behind it. And things just keep getting worse…
