One of the leading literary agencies in the Nordics, Elina Ahlbäck Literary Agency will expand under a new company, as the operational activities of Elina Ahlbäck Literary Agency are transferred through a business acquisition to the newly established Ahlbäck Agency.
Martti Berner has been appointed CEO of the new Ahlbäck Agency, effective October 1, 2025. In his new role, he will lead the company’s growth in representing authors, screenwriters, and directors. Elina Ahlbäck, the company’s founder and majority shareholder, will continue as an active agent, board member, and take care of author and talent relations.
“I am very pleased that we can ensure continuity for the agency’s authors, illustrators, screenwriters, and directors, as well as for our team, and continue our successful internationalization work at Ahlbäck Agency in collaboration with our wonderful publishers, producers and other partners around the world,” says Ahlbäck.
The other founding partners of the Ahlbäck Agency, in addition to Elina Ahlbäck and Martti Berner, are media investor Eljas Repo. Additionally, the company’s audiovisual expertise will be strengthened with the addition of a film & TV professional Anna Lujanen as a partner and Senior Business Advisor. Literary Agents Noora Al-Ani and Satu Sallantaus will continue their amazing work in the Ahlbäck Agency.
