Finnish Christmas calendar based on Mysi Lahtinen’s book published in eight languages
The Finnish Foreign Ministry has published an online Christmas calendar in eight languages. Produced by the ministry and published by the Finland Promotion Board, the calendar is published today on thisisFINLAND’s website in English, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, German, French and Chinese. The calendar will be promoted in several countries, giving people around the world a chance to take a glimpse into Finnish Christmas traditions.
The calendar is based on a new Christmas book, Christmas Is Just Around the Corner (Joulu joutuu joutuisasti), written by Mysi Lahtinen and illustrated by Virpi Penna. It contains traditional Finnish Christmas recipes and instructions for holiday decorations, making the wait for Christmas more enjoyable.
