Laura Lindstedt’s novel Scissors is a bold description of contemporary adoptive motherhood and the fear of failure as a parent. It manifests both a great command of language and structure and a skillful ability to manipulate plot. Scissors was shortlisted for the Finlandia Prize in 2007.
“She was a writer before she ever wrote her first novel.” – Keskisuomalainen
