The Crocodile in Love
A happy fairy tale about the inhabitants of Rumbling Woods and a small crocodile’s great first love
The little crocodile of Rumbling Woods is in love. He has written 600 poems to the object of his love, Krrilla, an opera star, and keeps on producing more. The crocodile says he is languishing but looks well and may even have gained a bit of weight during the winter. The hedgehog thinks that sort of remote love is appropriate for the crocodile, he is still so very young.
Love takes many forms: the crocodile’s remote, poetry-producing love, the tender care shown by mothers and fathers, the glowing happiness of a young couple. Life as a whole consists of love. That is what the Moon says when making a speech at a mass wedding of mice. Then there is the sound of drums and trombones and the married couples prepare to cut the cake.
At that moment, something happens to throw the little crocodile’s remote love off course and it crashes, like a rocket, in the middle of Rumbling Woods. Krrilla has arrived! The flutter of the beautiful crocodile girl’s eyelashes almost causes our protagonist’s heart to stop. It all has to be a wonderful dream!

In the beginning everything seems like an exciting dream to Mii. She sees a beautiful little city rising out of nothing. Mii sets of to look at the city. There are people standing around in every alley and on every street corner. The feeling is like in a ship terminal – lots of people waiting to leave for a trip. Little by little everything new and exciting becomes somehow sad and oppressive. What has happened to Mii’s parents? What has happened to Mii herself? And who are the black figures everyone is avoiding?
