YA lovers will be glad to hear that we’re representing a brand new YA series, the Royaume Chronicles by Magdalena Hai: its first installment The Third Sister is a fantastic, manga-inspired adventure. The Grumblebelly Cat by the same author is nominated for the Nordic Council’s Literature Prize 2018.

Tuutikki Tolonen is writing continuation for the Monster Nannyseries: Monster Letter will charm readers in 2019. Screen Australia has invested development funding in the Monster Nanny feature film, co-produced by Four-time Academy Awards nominee and director Ridley Scott (The Martian, Thelma & Louise, Blade Runner). Big international TV series is being developed in Hollywood by Zerogravity (The Accountant, Ozark) based on Salla Simukka’s Snow White Trilogy. A script is being finalized for Maria Turtschaninoff’s Maresi, a feature film financed by Film4 (Winner of Eight Academy Awards for Slumdog Millionaire).

We also welcome a new agent to our team: Julia Kellums. She will be responsible for the sales for e.g. into the Nordics and the Netherlands. She begins work today on September 3rd and can be reached at julia.kellums [a] ahlbackagency.com.
