Bologna Rights Guide presents Finnish storytellers conquering the world

Finnish storytellers conquer the world – and Hollywood!

Bologna Book Fair is right behind the corner: we’re thrilled to introduce our new catalogs of children’s and young adults’ books for you!

Click here to read the new catalog!

This Spring we have wonderful new books and new authors on our list alongside our long-time favorites, many of which are  at the moment being developed for film and TV: Maresi (Film4), As Red As Blood (Zero Gravity) & Monster Nanny (Scott Free).

What is the Night? and What is Water? by the talented duo Laura Ertimo and Satu Kontinen, are our new nonfiction titles, suitable for readers from 5 to 99 years.

In picture books, Mila Teräs and Karoliina Pertamo’s collaborationThe Fox Who Painted the Sky tells the story behind Northern Lights and The Duskspinner reminds us of the importance of darkness and rest. Elina Hirvonen and Mervi Lindman’s Princess Rascal is about a strong-minded little girl, like the kid sister of Pippi Longstocking.

For beginning readers, award-winning authors Miina Supinen and Magdalena Hai offer stories about pizza and magic, a creature called The Grumblebelly Cat, and a strange shop of nightmares.

Young adults will be happy to learn that Maria Turtschaninoff’s third installment in The Red Abbey ChroniclesLetters from Maresi is finished, and Salla Simukka is back with a collection of “little awesome stories and little awful stories”.

We look forward to seeing you at the book fairs in Bologna (Agent Center) and London (IRC, 6C & 6D) – and in New York & Los Angeles.

Warmest wishes,
