Bloggers and critics love Storm Sisters – out now in English!

The Sinking World, the first installment in the swashbucklingStorm Sisters YA series, is now out in English, published by Bastei Entertainment! The novel was launched in London over the last weekend of July at the YALC, UK’s YA Lit Con, with great success.

The Storm Sisters series, which tells the story of five young pirate girls in search of their families, has also gathered some great reviews among literature bloggers:

“Grounded in equality of race and gender, Storm Sisters is a gripping, feminist tale of friendship and treachery on the high seas. The pirettes kick ass!” – The Writes of Woman blog, UK

“I especially enjoyed the girls’ modern voices, although the story is set in the 1780s. Even when it’s about pirates and history, the story feels realistic. You get the feeling the things could have happened. These girls are brave and strong, although they live in constant fear.” – Lukufiilis online magazine, Finland

“What I loved about this book was how it centered around team work and girl power, sticking together and remaining loyal.” – Emma’s Bookery blog, UK

“I love reading unique novels, that really draw me in – this one really ticked the boxes. The girls all have a very strong, unbreakable bond, and their individual personalities really shine through too.” – Teen Book Hoots blog, UK
