Rights to Tiina Nopola’s Siri series sold in Vietnam!

Siri VietnamWe are very happy to announce that Kim Dong, Vietnam’s largest publisher of children’s books, has acquired rights to five titles in author Tiina Nopola and illustrator Mervi Lindman’s beloved Siri series (Tammi). Other titles on Kim Dong’s list are works by Roald Dahl and Tove Jansson. Dutch and Czech rights were also recently sold to Rebo Productions.

Aimed for a 4+ readership, the Siri series narrates the adventures of a vivacious and playful little girl and her friends. It has been praised both for its spirited storytelling and for Mervi Lindman’s sweet and detailed illustrations.

To date 12 Siri books have been published, and rights have been sold in 18 languages! A full English text is available of the latest Siri book, Siri and the Star (Tammi 2014).

Several international editions of Siri titles were published in 2014. Among the publishers who debuted new Siri translations were Kolibri in Hungary, Foksal in Poland, Turbine in Denmark, Verbarium in Slovakia, and Zvaigzne in Latvia.
