Tove Appelgren visited the Shanghai International Literary Festival

Tove Appelgren Shanghai 24.3.2011The awarded and much-loved children’s author Tove Appelgren was invited to the Shanghai International Literary Festival in March. Tove read her book  Vesta-Linnea and Monster Mom to the Chinese children and their parents and told about her book Vesta-Linnea’s Darkest Thought as well as her forthcoming play “Akta dig för älgarna, Vesta-Linnéa” (premier in Finland, Wasateater on April 2).  The event in Beijing was sponsored by the Finnish consulate. All four Vesta-Linnea titles will be published in China by Beijing Hanzhang Xingwen Book Distribution later this year.

Söderströms and Elina Ahlbäck Literary Agency begin collaboration

The Finnish publishing company Söderströms and the Elina Ahlbäck Literary Agency have entered a new representation agreement. The Agency will begin selling rights to a selection of Söderströms authors’ works on the international marketplace. The Elina Ahlbäck Literary Agency already represents dozens of Finnish authors and has a representation agreement with Tammi Publishers.

The Agency will sell the rights of about ten Söderströms authors in 2011. Children’s and youth titles, fiction and non-fiction will all be represented.
